140kWh sounds fairly light. If you did 1000km that is 140Wh/km !

You're right, hadn't done that calc in my head to realise. Re-checking my notes it seems I missed recording the actual usage on one leg of the trip and so had accidentally left that out of the total. Using the EVTP estimate for that leg (which were pretty good on most of them) it was more like 170kWh all up over 914km. Still not bad. Also forgot that we headed off the Hume and took the coast road through Wollongong as well, so my whole story gets less and less relevant

That's about 185Wh/km so about right for a long trip at the speed limit. I usually work on 200 but generally get better.
