Anyone seen this? No marks or scratches, no known trauma, just a bulge. No change with it taking off and putting it back on.

Yes, posted about the same thing a while back:

    Aero cover popping loose?

Happened two or three times, a hard slap would seat it back in each time only to have it pop up again. Finally stopped, I think I took it off completely and reseated it - I know you tried that but I'd do it again. I think just one of the tolerances was either too tight or loose, causing just enough stress.

Found the problem, but not the cause. Missing metal part and plastic was bent back, probably the last time the cap was reseated.

I just had this problem as well. It started a few days ago. All the metal springs were in place, so not what you saw. Perhaps one or two lost some of their tension? Went over to the Service Center and they replaced cover.
