I thought there was a prior thread on this, but I didn't see it in search or on the first three pages. Model S Options and Pricing | Tesla Motors What's the latest we've heard about warranty (and servicing) on the rest of the vehicle? More specifically, for those that want to "minimize (financial) surprises" has there been any public information regarding what a bumper-to-bumper 8 year warranty will cost (or if it will be available)? If I want to "pre-pay" all maintenance and upkeep for normal* driving usage for the first 8 years what will that cost me? And is it offered by Tesla directly? * Excluding wrecks, track racing, sustained high speed driving, etc.
I saw that thread but it seemed both too broad (3G unrelated) and too narrow (content). But move the discussion there if you'd prefer that, please, mods.
What does "vehicle limited warranty" mean? Doesn't sound all-inclusive to me. Also, that's base specs. I would some variation across configurations, just like the battery warranty.
I've modified the title, which should help keep this topic more focused on a specific line of discussion.
