Is it worth getting an extended warranty for Tesla model x?
Yes, It's a very complex vehicle and it has a history of problems.
It is just like an insurance.
If something is cheap enough that I can afford the repairs or buying a new replacement, then I don't buy an extended warranty.
If I can't afford the repairs or buying a new replacement, then I would buy an extended warranty.
There's no publicly available data but it would be an irony if:
Most likely, costly repairs won't happen to a majority of owners who bought it.
(Tesla can't make a profit if majority of its extended warranty owners have costly repairs.)
And most likely, costly repairs will happen to those who need an extended warranty but didn't buy it.
I was told could buy extended warentee in 4 years, so that's what I will do. plan to keep car at least 10 years
