Was issued a VIN, put my order on a 1 week hold, how quick after hold could I get a car?

11/21 - Received VIN
11/21 - request to schedule pick up (11/28 - 11/30)
(11/28 - 11/30) on business tip
11/22 - spoke to an SA and put car on hold until 12/2

So the question I asked the SA is how likely is it I'll get matched again shortly after I come off hold so that I can take possession before 12/24?
Will be out of the country 12/24 - 1/1.

He said highly likely but he could also change the hold to 12/31. I'd rather take possession in early/mid December but am not sure how quick after you've been assigned a VIN you'll be assigned a new one.

Anyone have experience with this?

Varies. I think demand has dried up. No one wants to take delivery right before tax credit becomes available. Good chance you’d get it this year if you’re one of the few willing to accept delivery this year.
