Very cool.. i wonder how many kWs / rated miles were consumed going from 0 to 133 mph...
I say .... "Ahhhhhhh"
Gee - that looked like a public highway
This video confirms my real world experience that 60-90 is stupid fast.
Looks like I5.
I don't think I'll ever understand people who film themselves breaking the law then put it on youtube. lol
I thought the crosses indicating highway fatalities that he passed to be quite ironic.
Looks like he's not even flooring it... He starts moving at 0:27 (hard to tell exactly when, since the camera is moving), and then he doesn't reach 60 MPH until 0:36. That's an eternity!
Hell, I never post units (they all are [cough] err, could be [cough] kmh, I swear judge) of speeds that I travel, under my mostly anonymous name on TMC.
But giving a name, and showing up clean shaven in broad daylight is a really bad idea. Heck a balaclava, with a unmuffled voice in my own car wouldn't be something that I would even do. Maybe if I could point out obviously that the car driven wasn't mine, so 'anyone' could be driving it would be questionable.
ElSupreme isn't in the Atlanta phone book?
Interesting how the power limiting line showed up at about 0:40 in the video, at around 100mph, and his actual usage was above the limit line for a few seconds.
No location... Who's gonna charge him?
No name... Who ya gonna charge?
No witness.... "Odometer set to kph"
Any jurisdiction that would waste the time effort and money pursuing this would be foolish.
CHP most likely, I would guess. As he also posted this other video of him near the Harris Ranch supercharger.
Uh. I would charge Elliot. There is a pretty good picture of him too.
"We got it up to 133 miles per hour" verbatim. You can kind of make out MPH under the speed on the dash. As well as it was 1:03pm on March 5th.
I agree 100% with this, but it doesn't mean it won't/doesn't happen.
"I would guess?" I'd love to hear a judge laugh at that in court.
No one could prove it was CA.
Elliot who? Elliot Ness?
So, are we gonna believe what someone says on a video is fact or maybe they may just be looking for attention? And "kind of make out MPH" .... Hopefully you never "kind of" congratulated the pregnant woman who just happened to be a few pounds overweight and not pregnant.
Now you're right here. Only our government would spend a $1,000,000.00 to get a $500 traffic fine enforced.
You're half right. Yes our government would, but it's not the only one that would.
This line always seems to show up at 100 on mine too. (not stating if that's mph or kph for me, lol). I'm assuming that's normal, so what's so "interesting" about it?

yeah i thought it was a track until I saw the truck drive by, lol
Interesting. I don't recall seeing one at 100mph. I'll keep an eye out.
When the speed and energy consumption meters were parallel all I could think was "don't cross the streams"!!!! "It would be bad"
Cross the streams - YouTube
So you are really saying that with this thing called the internet and computers that if some highly motivated official (for whatever reason) decided to teach that person a lesson that they couldn't somehow figure out who that was? Also, you can read mph when you make the quality of the video 1080P. Once you figure out who that is you can figure out which car it is. Taking video of yourself doing something illegal and posting it on the internet is kind of the definition of giving up your right to privacy.
