Another teaser of Jay Leno’s Garage featuring a test drive of the Cybertruck has been released ahead of the episode’s debut on Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. ET.
With Chief Executive Elon Musk in the passenger seat, Leno pilots the raw-metal, futuristic pickup through the streets of Los Angeles. Musk and Leno caused headlines when they were spotted in January filming the episode.
In the new clip, Leno notes that the truck has the responsiveness typical of Tesla’s electric vehicles. He also complimented the “greenhouse,” referring to the Cybertruck’s light-filled cab and abundance of armored glass.
Musk explained that the production version of the Cybertruck is expected to be better than the prototype, not a watered down design of a show car. However, he does expect the proportions to change a bit, about a 5 percent overall reduction in size. It seems the Cybertruck is not currently a good fit for garages.
The clip ends with Leno and Musk driving the Cybertruck through The Boring Company’s Los Angeles tunnel. Should be a fun look at some of Musk’s most exciting projects.
