Water Stain on Headliner

The North Houston service center completed my repair yesterday. It came a bit under the quote at $921.20. They were able to clean the headliner so you can barely see the remnant of a stain. They basically had to replace the entire chrome piece that runs along the roof on the driver side and reseal it. I was happy to see they also did the typical clean and detail as well as inspection and system upgrades for no additional charge even when out of warranty.

Would you mind posting a picture of the after? I want to get an idea if I'm going to insist on a replacement headliner or not.

It actually looks a little worse in the photo vs naked eye. I am going to dab some more Incredible on it in a few days when I have some free time.

They were pretty sloppy with the adhesive. I didn't notice this when I picked it up but I think it became more visible as it dried.

I wouldn't have noticed the glue on my white car i would imagine, good scrubbing might just take it off.
I would expect they wanted to make sure it doesn't leak again, but you should keep detailed photos just in case it does.

I did my normal wash this weekend and the excess adhesive came off easily. So far no leak but we haven't had a gully washer since the repair.

The S has been in the shop since last Monday, they're replacing the whole roof, and because its structural, they had to take it to a body shop.

They say Wednesday it will come back, but I'm not complaining since they put me in a X90D for the loaner.

Oh my goodness! What type of roof? Looks glass/pano in your profile pic. That would be awful to pay for out of pocket.

Turned out they didn't replace the roof likely just used sealant in the same manner as your vehicle. That is a black solid roof by the way not the pano

I had the same thing happen to me, except I paid about $1400. I haven't had the issue since so I'm assuming they fixed it.
