Weak Spot Left Rear Wheel well

I ran over some ice in my driveway after a 12" snowfall and thaw, refreeze. My left rear wheel well cover was punctured and coolant began to leak. After a day, I got messages on the console "coolant leak , speed reduced" and my max speed became limited to 55. Nav began to fail as did music streaming and cruise control.
Damage was not warrantied but considered external environmental damage.
My insurer paid $3400 less me deductible.
Be careful of this design flaw!

Similar story as yours someone on these forums ran over a large rock, damaged the battery, spilled coolant and it caused way more than $3,400 in damage....so it sounds like you got lucky.

Anyone who lives and drives in winter weather knows that can be tough on cars. I've seen too many plastic aero shields and other undercarriage parts get ripped off as people drive through deep snow and ice.

You might be a want to upgrade to the Cybertruck so you can blast down your driveway carefree!

Photo of the area where the puncture occurred? It would good to know where this vulnerable spot is.
