Web browsing faster after update. Why?

Any idea why my browser (MCU2 upgrade, love it) is so much faster after software update, and if there’s a reason is there a way to force that? I know that’s a poorly worded question, but I’ve noticed that as I use the browser (which I do use to control home automation lights, gate, garage, it’s reaaaly useful), it seems to slow down. I’m not a network expert but I know enough to learn. Wondered if perhaps there was some kind of cache or something that could be cleared that would “clear out the pipes” (because as we know the internet is a series of tubes, thank you Ted Stevens.)
