Website to reserve Model 3 - URL leaked

Looks like the URL to use will be https://model3.tesla.com/store

I think that's the URL everyone was using in store for reservations. I'm guessing Tesla whitelisted their store IPs, and will open it up to everyone tonight.

That URL is the one the stores use (thus, you know, the word "store"). I highly doubt it has anything to do with the URL that will be used for people to register for the model 3 by themselves.

That's funny because I just got a "reminder" email from Tesla, and it's a copy of the blog post, so it still says 8:30PDT, so they didn't bother updating that. Your post might be worthy of a new thread, by the way. For those who couldn't make it to a store.

I also think definitely a good idea. Also it (hopefully) allows me to fully concentrate on the presentation without madly trying to make a reservation at the same time. At the start of the presentation always seemed like an odd time. Either do it earlier or at the end of the presentation.

that site is hosted on the akamai network, which is a massive content delivery network. There is also code for Stripe all over that page, which is a major credit card processor. Looks legit to me, and clearly Tesla anticipated heavy loads for the reveal and put the video stream and ordering on Akamai to more smoothly handle it.
