Weird Aluminum “Tin Foil” Type Piece Sticking Out?

What is this little piece of “tin foil” doing here?

Is it okay to just cut it off with an little box cutter knife or just pull it out?

I wouldn’t mess with it. I would probably see if they could send a mobile tech to look at it/fix it.

It looks like insulation maybe. I wouldn’t pull it but I’d do box cutter. I’d place electrical tape under the area you’re box cutting to provide extra Oops protection.

Have you ‘lightly’ tried to ‘tug’ on it to see if it releases at all or slides out? That’s what I’d do...in all honesty though I don’t see how it got in there but it’s possible.... it almost looks like blowing ‘road debris’ from the highway that has gotten ‘lodged’ in there if that’s even possible. I’ve seen some strange things on the highway with road debris jammed in odd places.
Friend of mine did a 100 mi trip or something... saw a bag go under his car...it never exited the rear.....got home....and the bag was still on the front of his car. So he pulled a White Castle bag of all things out from under/in the grilless grill/air dam area of the front of his 3 that had gotten lodged.

Resolved.

I tugged down on the other side and I see aluminum underneath...I guess it’s just hanging too far out on the other side.

I basically just folded it back in and now everything is hidden.
