Weird buzzing sound after updating to 2022.24.6 [Fixed in 2022.36.1]

Yes, started with 2022.24.6 and fixed with 2022.28.1.

That is awesome, but I don’t understand how it can fix it, but not fix it for everyone else that is on 28.1. That is baffling, but glad yours is fixed.

Makes me tempted to install 2022.28.1, but since I'm on buzz-free 2022.24.5 I'm too scared to.

Have the same issue. Started on 24.8 and still there on 28.1

I did the 2022.28.1 update last night and had the buzz/hum this morning. Definitely heard it this morning in the garage but wasn’t sure it was the car. Just got home and yeah, it’s the car.

I’m glad I found this thread…I came home tonight and parked next to my model X plaid and heard the whining noise. I thought I was going crazy with the frequency it was making. I’m having charging port issues with My X and figured it was something else related to it….either way i guess im glad to know im not alone.

I forgot to add I am on 2022.28.1 and just updated yesterday when I started hearing the noise

Yeah decided not to play with fire. As much as I really want the new status bar, I’d much rather not have it then deal with this malarkey. I’ll sit on my 2022.24.5.

According to my local service center the noise is emanating from a contactor related to the battery. My car was on a lift and the technician showed me an area right at the center of the underside of the car of a special compartment was clearly visible and the sound was coming out of that.

He said it would be fixed in a future update.

2022.28.2 just got pushed to my car to install. Anyone else? Don't really want to be the guinea pig on this one...

Same problem after I installed the 2022.24.8. 2022 Tesla Model S. Went to their service center. They said they don't have any solution right now. But possible tesla heat pump setting issue.

I had 28.1 pushed to my Plaid as well and it was downloaded when it had WiFi connection. Any way to stop it to “install” since I prefer to sit on 24.5 in view of the loud whining sounds that everyone has been reporting?

Just don't click install. I've waited through THREE updates now. I had 2022.24.6, 2022.28.1 and now 2022.28.2 pushed. I haven't installed any of these. Waiting for someone to install to the latest 2022.28.2 and report back.
