Recently my iOS app I see the Tesla name has been replaced with a 6 digit number. See the image attached. I am not sure what this number is? Any one here know what this number is? How can I change it to My Tesla ? Any

@wornout the name can be changed in the car by clicking on the "Software" option within the main menu. You'll then see the current name in blue. If you touch it, you'll see a pop-up window within which you'll be allowed to change the car's name.

Does anyone else see this change in their Tesla App? I'm not sure exactly when this happened, but it has this 175511 number at the top that I know wasn't there before. I can't remember what was in its place before, but I know it's just not right. Does anyone else see this? Or is it just me?

AHHH YES, those digits are indeed the 6 six digits of my VIN. So is that the norm now? The app shows the last 6 digits of my VIN? It just doesn't look right. Is that what everyone else see? Or is it only because I have no name for my vehicle? If I put in a name, does the numbers go away?

I think it must be a bug. Mine still shows normal (for now). I am on version 2022.24.8 on the car and 4.12.1 on the app. iphone.

Got the same issue on my Android. Never named my car anything. Maybe I'll finally go and name it "Tesla Model S" or something.

Might be the default string when you don't name your car. Just go and rename it...

Yeah, it's a bug. In the past, it would use the default string of "Model S" or whatevers. Now, it's bugged out and used last 5 digits of VIN.
