Weird SC Layout at Fremont Factory

A bit bored today. Looking at satellite images and this SC layout seemed odd to me. Appears to be 4 pedestals per island. If the cars pulled in opposite directions then you could use all 4 at one island but then the next parking row could use them. At the bottom you can see islands with 2 stalls. Which make much more sense. Anyone who has seen these and can comment on their use? Otherwise it is noteworthy as there are 100 pedestals total for this installation (72 on these 18 islands and 28 on 14 islands below although there are only 64 parking spots to access these). I wonder when we will see this type of buildout in Austin or if they are inside.

Because it would be really awkward to enter the other way. The assembly line is likely at the top of the picture so cars are coming out there, no reason to go in backwards. Wonder if they were planning to experiment with dual charging inputs to get 300kw with the old V2 pedestals. Or 500kw with V3. Otherwise, seems like a waste of equipment and electrical capacity because you’d have to have power to all of them to meet code.

The cabinets can't push max power to all pedestals simultaneously anyway. Overprovisioning the pedestals to parking spaces just ensures that the power available to any given car is higher than a normal V3 installation.

Why install the extra pedestal though? If you put in 1 pedestal per V2 cabinet then you guarantee 150kw for each pedestal. The original permits ifrom 2018 indicate these are likely V2.
