Weird steering wheel behavior

I just had the feeling that the steering felt weird and nailed it down to the following:

when turning right and releasing torque, the steering wheel goes back to neutral position as usual when I release torque on the wheel.

‘’when turning left, it goes much more slowly and almost a bit choppy, and not quite back to neutral.

booked a ranger visit in a few days, but would be glad to hear any ideas and to understand if it may be a severe safety issue and whether the car should be driven.

This is on my 2015 P85DL (which has replaced front half shafts and Clevis mount according to bulletin).

Some more info: the steering wheel seems to get stuck both left/right when going to 90 degrees or more - need to apply force to move it back to center

many guesses on cause? Ok to drive?

(Stuck — much more force needed to continue turning and it won’t come back if release wheel as it usually would if not applying force)

Did you figure this out? Mine seems to get a little more difficult to turn than usual sometimes.
