You can leave them to record 24/7, to record by motion sensors and also to just record when the car is on. This carmeras also record sound. The front camera records with a resolution of 1080HD and the rear at 720.

Installation on Model X
Our main focus when installing these dash cams or any other aftermarket gadgets on your vehicle is to make it look like a factory installed option. We go above and beyond to achieve a seamless and natural look. Most of our attention to details are in places you'll never see..
On this Model X per customer request we installed the camera off the windshield. To accomplish this we custom made a bracket to mount the camera on and then attach it to the housing of the rear view mirror.
In order to run the cables from the mirror up to the headliner we had to custom build a channel that runs parallel to the factory strip. By doing so, it helped us achieve that factory look on the vehicle.
Installation on a Model S
On this car we mounted the camera to the windshield. A clear double sided tape holds it in place. We can easily remove it at any given time without causing any damage to the windshield
