Are you allowed to draft behind a truck on the 400 mile challenge? That would make it easy, 500 miles while drafting the entire time at a constant 20mph would even be possible.

This would require the active participation of the truck driver, of course... they don't usually drive that slowly.

Don't think that fits the goal and purpose; it's to be a demo of the MS' capabilities, not a stunt! For the same reason (elimination of air resistance) I doubt heading 500 miles east in a steady western gale would qualify.
