With reference to this article: 2014: Apple's crunch year to prove innovation chops I wouldn't like Apple to buy Tesla but I would like Tesla to work in cohoperation with Apple to develop and produce an i-version of the Model S. What do you think about it?
I'd think basically more integration. Such as the ability to remote the iDevice screen to the 17" display.
+ 1 I would like to add also screens for entertainment for the rear seats, wifi for everybody in the Model S and an on line satellite alarm system.
I have no clue about what Raffy's thinking regarding an I-version of the MS. - Apple- compatible apps would be great! - maybe the 17" screen could snap out to make a huge iPad! - maybe iPads could snap into the back of the headrests for rear seat entertainment
Not. Going. To. Happen. Tesla recognizes the value of vertical integration and you don't get that by working with the most closed software company. Ironically, it would make more sense to Googlize and work with open source tools but with a proprietary core.
I would like to report an article (sorry that it's in Italian) saying that my dream could become true: Tesla e Apple: lauto del futuro | TeslaItalia.it - Il punto di riferimento per gli appassionati Tesla Motors The article says that Apple would like to cohoperate with Tesla to integrate in the cabin of the Model S the new voice identification software SIRI.
