What are software updates changing?

After owning the 2022 RF for around 3 months, I have had 3-4 software updates. It appear at least for 2-3 updates, the update note says the same thing, i.e. bottom icon bar customization, new language etc. I wonder if those were duplicate update that other same updates did not take? Every time I get a message that update complete. Not sure if it said "successful".

Same here. I assume it's updating the same thing with a better fix/update.

The major updates are typically new features and bugs. The minor updates could be minor bugs or serious bugs and occasionally even features.

Like the overheating MCU was fixed in 2022.12.3.3

A few of the recent updates have actually been recalls. The boombox capability while driving was removed first, and the most recent per @mswlogo involved a thermal management issue causing MCU to reboot.
