Prior to the current crisis, there were high rates of mental illness and substance abuse, so mental distress during the pandemic is not surprising. Prior to the pandemic, one out of every ten adults had anxiety or depressive symptoms. Nearly one-fifth of all adults in the United States (47 million) reported having a mental illness. Previous epidemics have caused widespread stress and resulted in new mental health and substance abuse problems. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, different populations are at a higher risk of mental illness and may have difficulty getting the care they need and we are experiencing mental health or substance abuse disorders, and those already diagnosed before the pandemic may require mental health and substance use services but could face additional barriers because of the pandemic. The status shows that it is a lot of people right now are facing too much which is kinda sad to hear... Do you have any thoughts regarding this issue? Please feel free to share.
 
Reduce the screen time apart from work and engage in other activities or spend time with family. Stay connected with our friends and close ones through regular calls and emails, also can spend more time with our family If staying at home. Staying physically active regularly can be great for physical & mental wellbeing. Maintain a healthy diet for a healthy body and mind. Let's heal as one!
