I've corrected more Tesla's than anyone on the planet. And I know the paint on these cars. So usually its a repetition equals efficiency when correcting one. But this Tesla had 21k miles on it and had seen some better days... The paint was an absolute wreck! I'm not going to say the coatings I offer make these problems never happen but I know there's no way it would of been like this with out some serious neglect. The owners did their best to take care of it but with super soft tesla paint and some inexperienced detailers this is what happen! It took me over 50 hours to correct and coat this but end results are amazing!

Solid black roof in equally bad shape.

7 hours of compounding the roof alone gave me these results.

The hood was another 4 hours of compounding and after I got all the water spots out, the next day a lot of them reappeared so I had compound the hood again for another 2 hours

This whole car had signs that another "detailer" if you want to call them that had attempted to buff this car

this went on for 3 very long days but my OCD and dedication to delivering nothing but the best results I pushed hard until 1-2am most days and even pulled a straight 35 hours from tuesday/weds

After all my compounding I had made quite a mess so at 3am I decided it would be best to wash the car and clean up the dust.

This car was so covered in defects I could only tape the trim as I had to go right up to the edge every where. But it wouldn't be OCD approved if we didn't address all this before being done!

A credit card wrapped in an proper microfiber can be your best friend for this.

Looks sweet now. It the same color as mine, so I can resonate with the work involved. Did the owner wash it using sandpaper?

Boy, was that car abused. Did you leave any original clear coat behind, or just pile on the CQuartz?? Hope the owner appreciated all of the time and effort (...certainly his/her wallet will speak volumes)...:)

I can't say enough about the work Joe did on my vehicle, below. The pix are worth a thousand words.
No, I didn't wash it with sandpaper, and we didn't do anything out of the ordinary driving her. I never took her to a car wash-always did it ourselves. Clearly the chamois & microfiber towels I used were not the best choice. Maybe it was the clay wash? IDK.
Can't explain how it got so bad, but sure am glad it got the OCDetail work from Joe.
The best part is now I have the tools to wash her correctly to preserve the beautiful work.
Joe & his team do AMAZING work, obviously...
    See you in Santa Clara
