Would that I could afford a Model S but I think I'm set on getting a Gen 3 - provided my Camry holds out long enough (2002 model, bought in '06, now with 219K miles on it)

Thinking of the vehicles I've had in reverse chronological order...

2001: 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan - took delivery on 9/11. Wife left in '06 and is still driving this.
2001: 1984/85 Fleetwood Jamboree Rallye 23P (Class C motor home). Never took as many trips as we should have. Finally got rid of it in '11.
2000: 1986 Lincoln Town Car Signature - inherited from my adoptive mother when she died. Eventually traded as a down payment on the motor home.
1999: 1994 Dodge Intrepid - got a quarter million out of this before the problems forced me to buy the Camry
1992: 1989 Plymouth Voyager - now we have two kids so the minivan was needed
1990: 1989 Old Toronado Trofeo - was dazzled by the electronics and infuriated by the trouble-prone wiring harness
1989: 1989 Pontiac LeMans (Korea econobox import) - we become a 2-car family
1985: 1985 Chrysler Laser XT Turbo - first time I ever got the car I *wanted* instead of what I *settled* for.
1982: 1981 Dodge Omni O24 Miser - Learned to drive a stick on this car
1980: 1978 Chevy Caprice Classic - turned into a lemon after a year.
1978: 1976 Pontiac Ventura - boring clone of the Nova with NO options.
1978: 1976 Fiat 131 Wagon - only had this for days; hand-me-down from my mother until she sold it because it was burning a coil every week

My list:

1975 Toyota Corona
1972 Chevy Camaro
198(6)? Dodge Omni
1990 Chevy Cavalier
1995 Chevy Monte Carlo
1998 Honda Accord EX V6
2001 Mercedes SLK230
2005 Infiniti G35
2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, 3.8 Track
waiting impatiently for my 60kWh blue Model S! Should have in May!

I am keeping the Genesis for a while, super fun car and i just love the styling. I would have kept my SLK too, but was rear ended and the retractable hardtop was never right again :(

Cars I've owned...not my specific cars, but the models and colors of them.
I've never met anyone else who had a Corona! Mine was the sedan, and a '75. Hate how people always try to correct me, saying I had a Corolla. My Corona was silver with a black vinyl roof and black vinyl interior... And AM only radio. The clearest station I could get was a "Funk" station, so I can honestly say I know all the words to Rick James' "Super freak"

~1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser station wagon (was technically owned by my parents)
~1983 Toyota Tercel hatchback (also a hand me down technically owned by parents)
~1985 Honda Accord hatchback (first car I bought myself, used and functional for a good while)
~1992 Honda Civic hatchback (bought used from my cousin in great shape and lasted years until I ran it into a bus)
1996 4dr Saturn SL1 (bought used from my roommate who traveled all the time so the car mostly was sitting in airport parking lots)
1987 Mitsubishi Montero (hand me down from in-laws)
1998 2dr Saturn SC2 (was my wife's car, and after the Montero died, somehow she got the new RAV 4)
1994 Dodge pickup (borrowed from my buddy for almost a year while waiting for my Tesla)
2012 Tesla model S
