raise a service request and see if they send you one.

also, FYI, they recently took the 16a commando tail off the in-the-box list. 3-pin domestic plug tail only now, depending on when your car was put together.

I took delivery a month ago and there was no commando. I raised a service request and they sent me one for free.

Appreciate this is a fairly old post, but just to confirm I took delivery three weeks ago and similar issue, 3-pin option only with delivery. Just raised a service request through the app - fingers crossed!

The cables do seem to come and go in and out of stock. Now you’ve informed them, I’m sure they’ll courier one out to you.

I wouldn't bet on it. I reported mine missing when my car turned up on 27/03, and haven't heard a sniff since. My car is going in for some minor rectification work on 01/05 so I'm hoping they will be available by then.

I bought 16 Amp 15metre mains extension. Used it couple of times parked at a new forest camp site. Slow but after a weekend parked up fully charged for return journey

Before delivery Tesla said my car would not come with a type 2 as they were out of stock but would be shipped later. Anyway it turned up with a 7.5m blue cable, however it doesn’t seem to have a button on it to open the charge port? should It have, the booklet that came with it has a picture showing a button

No, the portable cable doesn’t have that functionality. Only the Tesla wall charger does. I couldn’t tell you why the booklet that came with it shows that though.

Thx! Now all I need to decide is what to do with the spare 7m I bought when Tesla told me they would be sending a 2.5m cable in the post in a few weeks when back in stock

Prior to picking up my 3 I had a type 2 charging cable for out and about use.

I believe the cable delivered with my new car is a 3 phase type 2.

My original cable is not 3 phase.

I’m not sure if it’s worth using the new cable or should I stick with my old one?
