My Model S is named Christine after the very first self driving car which was a 1958 Plymouth Fury.

I had a 58 Fury, also. Buckskin beige with gold trim. (I think they al were in 58.) Curret car, S 90d, is named Nikki, for Nicola Tesla.

I remember a story told by a Tesla owner. He was in a tire shop and the crew was about to begin work. And there was some issue, something they couldn't figure out. Moments later, the owner heard this over the PA system: "Will the owner of the space ship please come to the front desk?"
