Was at the cottage this week...touring around, I came across this chap in (what I believe he said) was a 1917 Ford Model T...

The shape (octagonal top) of the shiny metal ornament and grille frame looks a lot like the 1910. Also the metallic piece (what is it?) next to the driver door matches the 1910.

The stupid thing is Brianman, he told me the year, but I can't remember if he said it was a 1917 or a 1910...my wife thought he made reference to the fact that the car was over 100 years old, but I didn't hear him say that...he told me that the cylindrical metal piece on the driver's side door step was for propane or kerosene that ran the headlights.

I suspect the one in your pic is newer than 1910, just that many of the parts carried over across years. For example, the wheels look different to me in 1910.
