What Do YOU Call the Pedal on the Right?

First, I couldn't find a thread discussing this, though I am sure one (or more) already exists.

So what do you call the pedal on the right that makes the car go?

• Obviously, "gas peddle" isn't correct (though if that's what you still call it, that's fine - habits are hard to break sometimes).
• Personally I use "accelerator" and that seems to be fairly common.
• I just saw @Gauss Guzzler use the term "gauss pedal" - I kinda like it!

What about you? What is your favorite(s)?

It became a funny phrase between the wife and I as random vehicles
always seem to " egg us on". I was always saying something like,
Ahhh $hit here we go again,
Ahhh $hit hold on,
Ahhh $hit another one,
Ahhh $hit a cop...
It became known as the "Ahhh $hit pedal"

It can't be the go pedal as it's also the decelerator. It can't be "the pedal" as there's the brake pedal right there, too. I've pondered this myself and have not come up with a good name, so MikeyMike's "THE" pedal is as good as any. If there are any other great ideas out there, I'd like to hear them.

There was a UK show called "Fifth Gear" with a host named James Plato that called it the "loud peddle" on the sports cars he reviewed. I guess that doesn't work for EVs

See, to me, this one doesn't work as it refers to the mechanical throttle that controls the flow of gas (or diesel) into an ICE.

Okay, then how about potentiometer? I think that it correctly describes the electrical function.

Composing that post triggered a faint memory. I knew I explained this before:

Anyone else notice a new pitch of the rear motor at WOT with 36.2.1? It was a bit cold this morning and I have one wheel slightly out of balance so I did not do a new draggy test, but there was definaty a pitch change at WOT that I don’t think was there before.
