I have an order for MR pending since 4th March which does not show any VIN but have not been called yet to upgrade / downgrade. I have sent multiple emails and made phone calls, but my Owner Advisor and Delivery Specialist still maintains that I will ger MR and dont need to change the order configuration. I am really confused because from what I have heard most of the people have been called to change their orders. Do we have anyone else who is still waiting for MR without a VIN assigned? I had earlier rejected a 2018 MR before it was discontinued, are they giving me a hard time for that?

they are doing vin swap on it. just kidding .
Tesla should have registered cars from july-sept cars as 2019.

they just found me a new inventory MR in AZ w/ ~$600 discount. Put a deposit down so I wouldn't miss out. Still deciding b/t SR+ and MR. Is full premium+range worth $2400?

I think either of those things on their own is worth the premium, and it’s a good deal to get both for the increased price. I just took delivery of a MR on Tuesday and I absolutely love it.

LR is a pack with fully populated modules.
MR is a pack with slightly less cells in each module.
Current SR/SR+ is a pack with even less cells in each module.
Soon to be SR/SR+ will be ‘new’ module design fully populated, but considerably less cells than a LR.

SR/SR+ and MR are not same car. No current plans to offer upcharge on range. Cells are not locked out on MR. Those who claim that, don’t know how battery packs in EV’s work.
thanks for the info.
here i would like to confirm what i understand.
Put is simple, current LR,MR,SR/+ has the same module, when i say the same module, i mean ,they have the same design ( same dimensions-length,highth,width; same configuration-same serial cell number, same parallel cell number; and the cooling sys;and so on), but different 'real cell' number, some module are use blank cells for lower capacity. can we say that?

we already konw LR battery cells are arranged in 96S46P, 4416 in total; and the SR 96S31, 2976 in total.
All current module are basically the 96S46P(but some cells are dummy ones), they share the same module and pack.

what you said the "‘new’ module design" will be the orignal 96S31P module, can we say that? otherwise , i think Tesla is developing a whole different module and pack.

No. SR and LR modules are different sizes.
thx.
hope more info coming soo. since SR and LR share the same vehicle chassis, they should share the same PACK tray , so there must be more space in the SR pack, which i think is not good design. and the SR modules must be shorter, so the modules installation need to redesign, together with cooling sys, and so. there are lots work to do.

Same pack tray. Consider weight balance.
