What happens to a trade-in?

Just curious, does anyone know what happens to your non-tesla trade in?

I think I was told they sold it at auction.

Several years ago I read that they partnered with one of the national used car companies but I don't know if that was true even then. It sure would be the easy way.

My non-Tesla trade in was auctioned in 2018 where it went to a dealership which resold it. I tried to catch the Tesla trade in in the used cars section last year but either missed it or it went elsewhere

They auction them off they don't want to be any part of the traditional used car market.

They sell it to an house which auctions it off to another auction house. The auction house employees, families, friends, and neighbors use the inventory cars as their sole personal cars so that they never have to pay taxes/registration/parking tickets/etc. then after a few months of use they auction it off to another auction house to repeat the cycle.

really, what happens to the tickets? all go to the previous owner?
