I'm curious about what Tesla does with the AP2.5 computers they get from doing the HW3 upgrade? Do they throw them away? Use them for alternate computing tasks? Keep them as spares for repairing non-FSD cars? Install them in new non-FSD vehicles? Collect them in a warehouse somewhere?
As the HW3 upgrade rollout ramps up, they'll be getting a lot more of the old AP2 computers back, but I can't fine anything online about what actually happens to them all. Does anyone know, or have a good hypothesis?
When my upgrade happens, I'd love to keep the old computer, but they probably won't allow that I'd imagine.
