What happens when battery goes to 0?

Just curious. Sold my 2016 Model X to Carvana in late November and they trucked it to their Winder, GA location. I still have that Tesla on my phone app so I have fun tooting the horn, etc every now and then I am also watching the battery drain! It is now at 9 miles! What happens when it goes to 0?

Please turn off your app and save the battery. If the battery goes to 0 you will not be able to drive it. If it stays at 0 for a while you can brick it ruining the car.

Delete the car from your app. It is not yours any more and you don't want any liability for it.

Just curious. What sort of relationship do you have with the buyer that makes this ok?

Checking the car with the app helps drain it. The battery will shut off, stop charging the 12 volt, and the electronics will go offline soon. After that, the last 3-4kWh left in battery buffer will stay there a bit longer. They will have to charge the 12v to be able to charge the car, turn it on, open port, and recharge the main battery even first.

How was your experience with Carvana - what value did they give you compared to market?

Carvana price was 13% higher than the Tesla trade in quote. That was much closer to market value than other offers I received from Carmax, Auction Direct, Vroom, and several individuals. The actual transaction with Carvana took 25 minutes, from arrival at their local office to riding home with my complimentary Uber ride.
