In short - the wheels I had ordered have incorrectly drilled valve stem holes and the OEM TPMS (for the front only) will not fit. I need to address the problem with the wheel manufacturer, but while that's happening, I'm inclined to simply use standard valve stems (the tire shop said they would fit) and go without TPMS until I can have them installed when the new wheels arrive.
Is the worst that's going to happen that I'll just get a persistent error message on the display? Is there any kind of audible alert? Trying to gauge whether I could tolerate the annoyance for the month or so until new front wheels are made.
