What is this reservoir next to the battery? It seems really low.

Yeh there is very little fluid in there. I do have an appointment this Thursday.. Will notify them about low coolant.

_If_ it's a problem, maybe the same root as the heat pump problem where it traps coolant.

Maybe take a look immediately after the car's been used.

If it’s low, would the car give a warning?
I know things don’t always work as planned.

My washer fluid reservoir had a hole in it because rodent damage. Never got any warnings. The tech discovered it by topping off the fluids and then heard it leaking down after.

There is still fluid in the tank…. Barely. I did not get a warning light. I assume the low level sensor is below the reservoir.

Does anyone know if this level is supposed to be checked when the car is warmed up or cold?

I just checked mine (car is cold, external temp is 55°) and my coolant level is about 1 inch below the NOM line. However, based on the parts diagram, the coolant bottle is a lot deeper than what is easily visible.

Here’s what the manual says. Don’t open it and don’t add fluid. Let the touch screen warn you if there is a problem.

If there was a coolant leak you would find some coolant underneath the Model Y.
