what is the yellow dotted area in the regenerative braking part of the energy graph mean?
That's the maximum regeneration possible. Either because you're charged to 100% or it's too cold. It will go away after you drive for a while.
Like TexasEV say's it will go away. Cold weather and the battery protecting itself. No worries
Y'all come up here to Canada and you will see that every day.
That's weird. It was almost 70 degrees outside and my SOC was about 87%. It did go away after about 6 or 7 miles. I had to park it outside last night but it only got down to the mid 50s.
That's enough to do it. I find anything from mid 50's on down will take out the regen for the first few miles. The colder it is, the longer it takes to get back to normal.
And this seemed to change roughly a year ago, give or take. Before that it would need to be colder for any temperature-based regen limit to be imposed.
