What Kind of Car Did The Model 3 Replace?

I had a 2005 Mini Cooper S (standard) that blew its engine at 193k miles. Replaced that with a 2015 Mini Cooper S. The new was no match for the old and I missed it as it had been the most fun to drive car I'd owned to that point.

Meanwhile I had put down $1k on the M3 but not really felt committed until I was watching a YouTube channel (I think it was Matt on Tech Forum) who was one of the early owners. In one video he was commenting on how fun to drive his new Model 3 was and commented that the nearest other car to it he had driven was a Mini Cooper S.

That sealed my commitment. And indeed he was right.

I think I traded the newest car in this thread :p .
I had 2018 Kia Stinger Limited AWD 365 horse power :)
But would never look back!
If anyone interested, I still have my winter tires and rims of the Kia Stinger.

Went from a 2001 E class wagon to a 2018 Prius, soon to be M3.

Mother in law has a new C300, fully loaded. Used to like it, after I sat in the M3, it felt like something from the 19th century.

A big fat gas chugging 2004 GMC Envoy.

Another important fact is my daily commute is 100 miles. Even more when I do sales calls. The savings is over $250/month just in fuel. When you add in routine maintenance + repairs, it's pretty ridiculous.

I am one seriously happy camper. :)

2003 VW Jetta GLS Wagon to Model 3 LR RWD (waited for 3 announcement for a long time, day 1 reservation). Yeah, I'm surprised at my patience. Kept the Jetta for kids / backup.
