Anyway back to the OP's question. I would not be surprised it there isn't a trunk. VW Beatle didn't have one and I think that may have been the most sold vehicle for awhile?
It is all about categorization/labels. A Beetle was not marketed as a mid size luxury sedan and a BMW 3 series killer now, was it? Also, beetles cost a lot less (adjusted pricing) than $35K when they came out.
