What options does a MS have?

If I wanted to buy a MS from a dealer or PP, how can I tell what options it has?

I like the ev-cpo site as you can see all the options, but since Tesla has done away with the 4 yr warranty...it makes sense to shop around. So how do I tell if it has all the options I want online (without seeing it in person)?

Determining what a vehicle has from typical car dealer pictures is a challenge. You'll probably have to have a phone call with the salesperson to figure out exactly what it does and doesn't have. Most of the information you're looking for should be in the touch screen controls - cold weather package, air suspension, autopilot, etc.

Okay so right off the bat you are looking minimally for a 100D due to the range (pre-2019 EPA 335 new, mid-2019 350-370ish and new (2020/2021) around 400).

That being said, anything built after March 2018 will have MCU2 and minimally the AP2.5 computer.

Anything built on the Raven platform (July 2019 and later) will have UHFS, and subzero as standard equipment in addition to basic autopilot. Prior to that you will need to look at the additional info screen on the MCU as well as the on-screen options. The 'Additional Info' screen on the MCU can be used to determine specific options (e.g. UFHS, FSD, etc...) so if the dealer can get a picture of that it would be helpful.

The following screens can be helpful in determining what equipment the car in the absence of the additional info screen:
Main display radio toolbar: Caraoke option present = MCU2
Climate Controls: can determine whether car has subzero/heated steering wheel by on-screen options
Autopilot screen: can determine if car has FSD (at least when it was listed for sale)
