You want to know what the best options are to protect your new Telsa EV. The options given to you from the web are pretty endless so hopefully this can shed some light on what a good investment is. Which should you choose? Ceramic Coatings or PPF?

Tesla's are known for having OEM paint quality issues - incomplete paint, very thin clear coat, unfinished wet sanding, etc. All of these issues add up. In todays world, the 2 most chosen protection options are either a Ceramic Coating OR Paint Protection Film aka Clear Bra/PPF.

PPF is by and large the most important thing you could purchase for your vehicle. We recommend Ceramic Pro's KAVACA Paint Protection Film. It offers a 12 year warranty and is INSTANT HEALING - that means minor scratches and abrasions heal them selves, almost instantly. That means you can rest easy knowing that your Tesla is protected. Paint Protection Film can be applied over almost any painted surface.

The process is this - the vehicle is cleaned. Painted surfaces are physically and chemically decontaminated to remove embedded contaminants. (If the surface isn't clean, the film won't properly adhere) Once clean, the areas of the paint protection film are sprayed in a soap and water solution called "slip" - this lets us stretch the polyurethane film over the vehicle while at the same time allowing the film to "float" so that it can be properly positioned. Once the film is in its proper position, the slip solution is squeegeed out from under the film, leaving the adhesive to come into contact with the vehicle surface.

The application of PPF is a complex process that can often take hours to complete. You should expect to pay around $1350-$1500 for a partial front (whole bumper, 1/3 hood & fenders) and about $2000-$2350 for a Full Front (Entire bumper, hood and fenders) depending on your market. Another popular protected area are the lower doors/rocker panels and the mirrors. To cover your entire vehicle in Paint Protection Film, expect to pay $5500-$6500. Paint Protection Film comes in MATTE/STEALTH & CLEAR/GLOSS.
