What size tires for 22 inch rims?

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade to 22' wheels some time next week. With that being said, what is the thickest tire I can put on (most comfort) without rubbing? I certainly don't want to go low profile

By specifying 22-inch wheels, you automatically must use low profile tires. They are the only thing that fits and that is why folks buy them. If you do not want low profile, stick with the 20-inch.

Oh ok, i thought i’d be able to put thicker tires as long as the suspension wont be low or super low

Maybe real numbers will help: my friend gave me his old Forgestar F14 black wheels in semi gloss black

Two 22 x 9 front

Two 22 x 10.5 rear


My question is: what are the thickest tires I may get for my 2018 Model X 75D so I have no rubbing issues?

These are my stock sizes not sure I would go above 35 profile as tight fit already
Front Tires 265/35/22
Rear Tires 285/35/22

Agreed with P85_DA, you can't go above 35 profiles.

For the 22" tires, the most comfortable ride are the touring tires not performance. The only touring tires that I found are the Kumhos. I am happy with them. I had the Pirelli Scorpio Zero A S plus previously, and they were stiff and unbearable.
