What Swag did Tesla give you at delivery?

I didn't get anything at delivery (in Fremont) but have since purchased some swag at our SC using the owners' 20% discount.

Suggestion 1 to Tesla - The tall aluminum coffee mugs should actually match the cup holders in the car - same diameter, fit snugly; the ones available now rattle around and don't fit. They look nice but aren't practical.

Suggestion 2: It would be a nice touch to have them available in the various colors available for the car, not just white. Shoppers might buy some and bring them home to show the spouse to choose the color...

Suggestion 3: Send a coffee mug in the color of a buyer's car by mail/Fedex when their car enters production. Would heighten the pre-delivery excitement.

Nothing on delivery, but the San Diego store gave me a key ring when I stopped by and mentioned I was an owner. My Toronto West Service Center gave me a couple of key fob holders as well as a string key loop (wraps around the opening on the fob and has on the other end a metal attachment with the Tesla wordmark on it that goes on a keychain). Oh, and the San Diego Service Center gave me a couple of Tesla calendars.

Yep, bought my P85D at Santana Row, and you'd look at me and say either homeless person, tenured science professor, or typical Silicon Valley developer. Looks do not matter out here.
Heh... in general that's true of Silicon Valley, but Santana Row definitely draws the see-and-be-seen shopping crowd.

Speaking of Santana Row, there used to be a reserved parking section behind the store (in the parking structure) for Tesla owners to charge, but the last two times I've been there, it's been chained off. Too many Tesla owners now, I wonder?

Sorry, forgot to stay on topic! My pickup was at the Fremont factory on the last weekend of the quarter. A couple dozen cars, fresh off the line, were sitting under a long white tent, with plenty more waiting to take their place as soon as we finished driving away. The place was swarming with new owners and their families. Did not receive any swag. Nada. No hats, scarves, jackets, keychains, bolo ties, or bobble-head Elon dolls. But there was free ice cream in the parking lot, and the factory tour was great!

I randomly walked in wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and sandals at the Santana Row showroom after some shopping and they handed me the keys for a P85+ test drive. It's certainly not a universal thing. (And I bought and paid for my car while in pajamas!)

Are you the Dude? So that's what we should call you? That, or Your Dudeness … Duder … or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing?

Also staying on topic: I got the 3rd P85D at Fremont. Definitely no swag, lots of confusion, but couldn't be happier with the car.

Answering question: Call the Santana Row store. They'll move the chains out of the way and let you charge any time.

Oh, and Mercedes hasn't gotten the memo not to judge who may be a millionaire or billionaire out here. This was my interaction with them wanting to get a test drive before I got the P85D.

Mercedes Salesman: Are you employed, sir?
Me: Employed?
Mercedes Salesman: You don't go out shopping for a car dressed like that? On a weekday?
Me: Is this a... what day is this?
Mercedes Salesman: Well, I do work sir, selling Mercedes so if you don't mind...
Me: I do mind, the Dude minds. This will not stand, ya know, this aggression will not stand, man.

I had a few nice touches at delivery.

I had my Signature Model S delivered to my home by a Delivery Specialist. No need to go to a Service Center to pick it up. As Bonnie points out, the car was the swag.

I don't know whether this classifies as swag, but this was a personal gift from the Delivery Specialist who is a personal friend of mine.

Oh, one more pleasant surprise.
