What the hell happened to my horn?

Anyone else experience this? My horn went from "watch out" to "excuse me please" overnight.

The horn consists of two units. One emits a high pitch noise, while other a lower pitch. My guess is your lower pitch stopped working for whatever reason.

Might not be related but just in case, check the left side as well:

they had to fix mine, updated with another video in description after I took it in.

Mine will have the high pitch only one working sometimes, usually after driving it in heavy rain. Once it dries out it goes back to normal. It's been like that since I got my car. Better water shielding on the horns is needed.

Tesla’s are computers on wheels. Have you tried rebooting?

I had the lower tone horn go out on mine a couple of months ago and Mobile Service replaced it. I have a July, 2018 (VIN 059xxx) build and was told this is uncommon but they have had to replace some horn modules. Apparently, they have also changed how the horn mounts and the ranger had to disassemble the replacement horn from the new bracket and mount it to the older style brackets found in my build.

I have always disliked OEM horns on my vehicles so I swap them out with aftermarket units from WOLO or similar.

Mobile service will replace the pair under warranty. Make an appointment on the ap and let them do their job

In case anyone is wondering- the next day the horn was completely back to normal, looks like it fixed itself.

FYI: I ended up getting my horn repaired by a mobile service tech today. The problems were happening more frequently lately, and I was approaching the end of my warranty period, so I figured I’d just get it taken care of.
