Ordered 8/20. X / LR / Blue/Black Interior / 5 seater / 20inch wheels

LA area...

Haven't heard a thing. Has anyone had any success in doing anything that can help move things along?

Have you tried searching to see if you have a VIN in the source text of you Tesla homepage? I finally had one as of Monday. I'm in the LA area too and stopped by the Pasadena showroom but they had no info, but then I called the phone number and finally got someone yesterday. I was told my car was currently in production and I should receive a text any day now. I ordered 08/17, Black/Black/5 seater/20 inch wheels. FWIW I don't think any of this helped move *sugar* along though. I even offered to fly up and pick it up in Fremont if that meant I could get the car sooner and was told it really wouldn't make much of a difference since they have so many trucks headed down here.

Oh they autocorrected my foul language. Apologies all around.

Not sure if you guys saw my other post.
I'm in SoCal, ordered on 8/29 and as of this AM, no VIN in the source code.
Saw a post that Tesla is giving up to $5500 off on inventory cars. Found an exact match at Fremont, call SC and made the switch. Saved 3K. VIN starts with 203xxx. Brand new with only 13 miles. Hope to pick up in Buena Park next Saturday.

Ordered 8/4. Got VIN 9/9. Delivery for Sept 30th.

White LR, Cream interior, 5 seat, FSD, 20in

Kind of bummed I didn't get the free upgrades for the upgraded interior and 22in rims.
Why don't you try to find an inventory new like I did? You will need some luck to find the exact match within 500 miles for free delivery. I found one 360 miles away and picking up this Friday (Thursday if I want). That's only 6 days from the day I found the car.

Ordered 8/30
Changed from 5-seat to 7-seat on 9/2
Build Date 9/6 !!
Pickup 9/14

LR, MSM / Black, 7-Seat, no FSD

Picked up today. Car was perfect.

Bit of a fiasco getting their computers to print the trade-in docs (Odometer Reading etc.) took 3 hours !!!
All it was, was a couple of standard DMV Documents with my Trade in VIN and Address !!!

It wasn't until I threatened to reject the perfectly good X, they started moving fast.

Saw several X owners come and go, no issues. Then one Model 3 customer comes in nick picking stuff I could not see with my naked eye.
Tesla reps were so patient, I'd never survive as a rep.

Car was delivered today after a 5 week wait. Delivery was sort of a continuation of mediocre customer service from Tesla.
We had the 4-6pm appointment for home delivery. At 5:45 I sent a text to the delivery specialist asking if this was going to happen. About 5:50 he called saying the delivery driver’s wife’s water broke so they went to the hospital. The delivery specialist would deliver the car himself. About 20 minutes later he arrived. He was extremely friendly but openly admitted he knew “nothing about Model X since I normally handle 3s.” I did a thorough walk around and he waited patiently and tried to be as helpful as he could.
Once we went in to sign the paperwork my wife finally unloaded her frustration with our Sales Associate and the whole process on him which he handled well. It definitely seemed like this wasn’t the first time he had been on the receiving end of complaints. He said that we should call the Palo Alto store and talk to the manager. He said it was crazy that the Sales Associates get a commission but are usually useless and it’s up to the delivery people to plan and schedule everything with the customer. Delivery specialists don’t get commission.
Oddly he kept saying “this was the 3rd safest car in the world after the 3 and S” or “Tesla makes the safest cars in the world.” Maybe he just likes saying that or it’s the Tesla version of the meow game.

Anyway the car appears to be perfect. I’ll get to drive it for real tomorrow.

I originally ordered my red 5 seat cream LR X on August 6th, 2019. Estimated delivery of two weeks.
I was finally given a VIN by the SA on September 6th, 2019 and told the car was expected to arrive in Littleton, Co on September 14th.
I have just been told there was a "transit delay, probably due to weather" which has delayed the arrival in Littleton by another week.
At this rate is is going to be two months, instead of the "Estimated" two weeks before I get my Model X.
