What will Tesla precondition do with a cold battery and a hot cabin on a cold sunny day?

I am just curious that what will tesla do when the battery is at 40F and the cabin is at 85F.

My car will hea tor cool the cabin to the temperature I specify and also heat the battery as needed. Today is abright sunny day, with the outside temp at 38 degrees. The app on my phone said the cabin temp was 72. The car actually cooled down the cabin temperature to 68 degrees (the temp I have climate control set at) while at the same time, pre-heating the battery.
