Another difference between the Berlin built cars and the Fremont built cars....

The painted bumpers will actually (paint) match on the German built cars

I picked up my Y with a VIN 70XXX in November 2020. It’s a so called 2021 build year. Came with dual pane windows in the front area only. Same glassy back center console. The new “3’s” wil get a different center console but I prefer the one I got due to the privacy lid to cover the phones if I choose to leave them in the car. No SSD in glovebox. Had to buy and install one myself in the center console. So for now, just the dual pane front windows.

My understanding is no.

Assuming 325 mile range, it’ll go to about 341

for me that is negligible. Depending on your needs I don’t think it’ll be a deal breaker.

Did not see any confirmation yet, but range got an increase from 316 (2020) to 326 (2021 models), so it would make sense that this modest increase came from switching to the newest battery pack with more energy-dense cells like the 2021 model 3 (which got a biggest range boost with heat-pump). No reason to have 2 SKUs of the same thing coming out of Nevada GF. Also the 2019-2020 packs were already 79KWh, so while it is nice to have 82 instead, the usable difference is closer to 2KWh...

Also, Model Y 2021 page still says EPA estimate on the 326 figure, it may slightly increase with official EPA numbers). EDIT: or not... New EPA Range/Efficiency Ratings For 2021 Tesla Model Y

My understanding was the old packs were 75 kWh. Therefore, an increase to 82 kWh would be significant.

My 2020 Y has a sticker under the frunk that says 74kWh for what it’s worth.

Have we seen this sticker for any of the 80xxx VINs? I'm very curious if they have already switched over to the newer 82kWh (79kWh usable) packs around the time this change happened: Tesla boosts Model Y range - Electrek or if we can still expect another increase in the Ys range when they start using the same pack as the 2021 Model 3.
