What's Supercharging and Support Worth?

$500/year? How did you arrive at this number? Are you charging exclusively at superchargers? How much do you drive? How much is your electricity at home?

Here in WA it's about ~$0.10/KWh at home, so $500 gets you 5,000KWh which is ~15,000miles/year. Most people don't drive that much total each year, and even if they do, they startup each day with at least 220miles charged at home each night. I suspect you are an exceptional case. Tesloop (Tesla taxi) would be another exceptional case.

Including supply and delivery, I pay around $0.25/kWh.

I can’t actually charge at home as I live in the city. Roughly half of my charging (mostly on weekends and trips) is at superchargers; the other half is at work/other L2 chargers.

Looking at 1.5 years of data from teslafi, I use about 2000kWh per year from superchargers (=$500 value at the crazy electrical rates I’m paying...)

As far as I recall $2000 was built into the cost of my signature S to cover free supercharging for life.
