Thanks for the post. It’s really useful. @wratan, how did you attached the radar with the new bumper. As far as I was aware, the previous bumper has a large piece (called ducting) inside that holds the radar. Not sure how you keep this piece part with the retrofit.

can you clarify?

y dont you just call Unplugged Performance and ask them... you continue to cast doubt yet clearly the ducting isn't an issue regardless of UP or a retrofit. btw, the install directions for UP front fascia is on their website and you can look at it yourself for free.

The ducting is attached directly to the radiator.

I had to move the radar forward because it was being obstructed by the deeper refresh bumper. Some people had luck w leaving it in original location. SC try to calibrate it and told me the radar is sensing obstruction on the bottom

I just drill 2 holes thru the bottom of the bumper to secure the radar

The pictures below show radar at original location...just too deep inside the bumper

Installed the T-Sportline and it looks great! Spliced two wires into the emergency release and ran them to the tow hook cover and attached them using two sided tape. The wires are to be used with a 9 volt transistor battery in case the 12 volt car battery is dead so you can still pop the frunk to access the dead 12 volt battery. No need for any extra cable release.

Notice in my splice to the emergency release that (for my vehicle) I had to splice red to black and vice versa for it to work properly on the correct post of the 9 volt transistor battery. You know, red to positive and black to negative on the battery posts.

Also notice that directly below the emergency switch there is a hole to route your wires out of the (tub) frunk. I enlarged the hole slightly for the two wires to pass through more easily.

THAT is brilliant.

We are grateful to have had a moment to look at the abnormality of Rockwell's UP Refresh. We thought it was strange that his bumper was the only one to have that problem. After reviewing his car we discovered the abnormality of the bumper being destroyed by an earlier 3rd party installer's mistakes. However rather than describe the situation in detail, I'll quote Rockwell's update which he posted here (the thread shows photos of a new bumper test fit which fit his car correctly)
Unplugged performance fitment issue

"Ben from Unplugged Performance contacted me (after seeing my car on the forum) to bring in my car to figure out what is causing this alignment issue. Ben went far and beyond expectation and they will be around for a long time with their excellent customer service and knowledge.

The techs from unplugged removed my bumper and found out that it wasn’t installed correctly. The Body shop I brought it to never followed instructions and installed it wrong in every way. They didn’t use all the screws that was provided and made the bottom chin of the bumper to sag, causing the bumper with alignment issues. With time and heat, the damage was irreversible and now more time and money are wasted. Ben even installed a new bumper he had in the warehouse and took pictures of how it should fit.

I would like to thank Ben from Unplugged Performance for taking his time in figuring out what caused the horrible fitment issue. It wasn’t because of the bumper but from the body shop I brought it to.

Furthermore, the third-party body shop didn’t even paint the bumper correctly. They just sprayed a coat of paint without primer or anything which cause my bumper to chip easily. If you are going to get a bumper painted and installed, make sure you double check their background or have UNPLUGGED install the bumper for you. Attached are photos of how the bumper fitment with a new bumper they had."

Always garaged, always pampered, always well taken care of and this happened. I’m kind of depressed. Anyways I will need a new hood and nose come and I was thinking if it would be a good time to just replace it with the new looking front.

I’m not looking to spend a lot more money here, but if it is a small cost more (say $500 or less) due to the other work that has to get done anyways, maybe I should do it
I am attaching pics to show which parts are damaged.

Let me know what you think. Thanks

I would say, if the bumper cover does not need replacement, your are probably looking at more than an additional $500, since you would have to account for the unrequired bumper, plus hardware and paint...
