What's the diff between Streaming and Spotify

I have a 2014 Model S. The UI changed recently and you can now hide some of the music sources, like radio, SiriusXM, etc.

I still have chosen to show Streaming and Spotify. Doesn't the Streaming come from Spotify? Or is Spotify just a subset of everything that is available via streaming?

Tesla streaming is/was Slacker. There are a few threads about it on the forum that you can find if you use the search box, or google.

The reason that I posted here is that I wasn't sure if this was different in Canada as media licensing is sometimes different in Canada vs US.

Streaming is from Slacker. Spotify is another streaming service which requires an account to sign in and use.

I have been a Spotify paid subscriber for years and I have entered my credentials into Tesla. But I thought that Tesla was moving away from Slacker so that when you play streaming music that it would be coming from Spotify - hence my question.
