Thanks for the info, was able to place my order with tire rack. He said no ETA on the 255 but the 275 should be available in Dec. hoping for something sooner but will play it by ear

I contacted Michelin as well and they said both sizes will be available Nov. 1.

Seems like nobody really knows, even within Michelin. The rep at my local tire shop called Michelin today and was told they're in production but Michelin has no ETA.

Whoops, actually the rear tires are back ordered for 60+ days on tirerack. Anyone know another good place to buy?

Just called a local tire store and they're ordering them for me. Hopefully they'll be in by this coming Saturday.

Picked up the pilot sport as4 265/275 35 21s from Walmart of all places. Couldn't really find any anywhere else.

Should come by Oct 26th.

The 255 hasn‘t been available. The word is, they are now making the Michelin AS in the stock sizes and it should be available soon. The 265 is fine though, it doesn’t have the acoustic noise reduction but I can’t say I have noticed any increase in noise with the 265/275 Mich AS

This is good news. FWIW, I jumped on the non-OE 265-275/35 fitment because I didn't want to get pinched on a supply shortage going into winter. No regrets. I like how the front tire fits. Only a hundred miles or so on the set but I find the tire noise less obtrusive than the Pirellis, though I wonder how the foam inserts will improve that further.

Can't make a fair comparison so far. Brand new tires are going to throw off the range, and a good chunk of my miles to date have been with a mountain bike on the back. I'll provide an update once I have more distance on the tires.

I did the same, they just got delivered to my door yesterday. Went with the Pilot Sport AS4s. I don't need them til December so I'll have them put on next month.

I’ve had this setup for almost a month. I have about 900 miles on them and I haven’t noticed any additional road noise. As for range, mine is getting better in the last couple of weeks but I’m not sure if I would attribute that to the tires or just not flooring it as much. I’m pretty consistently between 280-290 Whm, pretty happy w that.

The 285/40/21 michelin A/S are still being shipped to my tire store, about 1 week later than expected. Hope to get them on by next week and I'll report back.

It's hard to tell about how much space, width-wise there is. But that might be too much. I'm not sure how I can gauge that for you.

Just ordered the 265/35 and 275/35 AS setup for installation tomorrow. Will report back on any changes in ride, noise and or range.

Thanks for this @noshadow. I did a lot of internet searching yesterday and found rears at tirerack, but fronts backordered. Found the fronts at discount tire, but rears backordered. I called discount tire and asked if they'd accept shipment from another vendor and they said no, but the rep did a search and said they will have the rears available Nov. 1st. So I placed the order with them and left a deposit. Hoping to have this set up before turkey day.
