What's the POINT of a glass roof?

I can't find the quote about ease of assembly now but I saw it from Tesla, I believe.
Anyway you can buy sunshades from several vendors and probably wrap it if you want.

• It looks cool from the outside. (Have you seen an nose-cone model S with a painted roof )
• It looks cool from the inside. (Nice views and makes interior seem bigger, more light)
• Glass is strong
• Way less expensive from manufacturing and service than a Pano sunroof.

Everyone talking about heat and touching it,... Have you never had a dark colored metal car in the summertime? Let's just say that I will never own a black car again.

If you don't like the light coming in or the little bit of heat then just get it tinted with a dark ceramic tint and you solve both those problems.

I don't care for the distorted moving reflections created by the glass roof, especially for passengers in the rear seat. Similar situation occurs in fighter aircraft with bubble canopies where reflections can cause disorientation and loss of situational awareness.
