Wheel curb rash repair Portland

Well, I figured it would happen at some point. Does anyone know a reputable place that can repair wheel curb rash on the M3 oem 18" wheels, or know where to get the paint so I could possibly diy it?

You're going to get all kinds of recommendations, but I'm in the car reconditioning business and I'm telling you it pays to use someone whose repair will last for years. Lots of guys can do a decent job of making the wheel look great, but most of them won't last, especially through a harsh winter with road salt and frequent cleaning. We see it literally every week, shoddy repair that looked great at first, but after a year or two the paint is flaking or fading.
Most wheel repair guys get most of their income from servicing dealers... this can be bad for you because dealers don't care what a repair looks like as soon as the car leaves their lot, they just want it cheap. YOU don't want cheap, you want quality.

If the damage is minor, and you just want to cover it up, apparently this paint matches the aero wheels pretty well (I have just read this, but have not tried it out yet ... knock on wood).

You may want to call your local Tesla service. Ours always kept a stock of refinished wheels to swap out with scratched ones.

This is what I use and highly recommend it, particularly if you feel you are at risk of curbing the car again in the near future. Depending on how bad it is, it can do a surprisingly good job. Won't cover it when looking closely, but 10 feet or more away and it can be good fix. Here's a pic I just took of my really bad rash (was two separate incidents where they happened to hit right next to each other). The wheel is very dirty, but trust me, the color is a spot on match.

When I feel the risk of rash again is minimal, I'll probably have the wheel properly repaired. But for now this is a great temp fix.

Not sure about the Model 3, but I think basically anyone who drives a Model S is at risk of curbing the car again. I've grown to accept curb rash as a fact of Tesla life. But I will admit that it always hurts the first time it happens on a new Tesla.

Happened to my 3 on Day 3 of ownership. Just didn't have a good sense of where the edge of the car was when pulling forward into a parking spot. May try the touch-up paint & then get the wheels properly fixed after the winter (and enough experience with the 3 to avoid rash in the future).
